What is original photography?
An original art photo is an artistic photographic image, printed on photographic paper, that has been created by the photographer. This is in contrast to prints that are reproductions of an original photograph.
How do you photograph original art?
"My philosophy on how to take great original art photos is very simple. Before I take the shot, when looking through the lens, I ask myself, If I saw this photograph, composed in this way, hanging on a wall...
Would I take a second look?
Would I think, that's a great shot?
Would I think, that's got impact?
Would I think, that moves me?
Would I think that this is a beautiful moment in time, that will never be repeated again in exactly the same way?
If the answer is yes, to any of the above, I make sure the shot is in focus and take the photograph. It is as simple as that."
